About the Program

Exercise, arts, music, yoga, drama, discussions, current events, games, special presentations by local artists, companionship and a snack and family-style lunch make up the daily calendar of our Supportive Day Program.

Since 1985, the Supportive Day Program has been and continues to be the only professionally run social day program for Islanders who may be at risk if left alone or may experience social isolation.

The program provides respite for family caregivers, enabling them to work as well as provide for the needs of others in their family. Caregivers can rest easy knowing that their loved ones’ needs are met in a safe and caring environment by a highly trained and experienced staff.

The Supportive Day Program is open 5 days per week from 9 am to 2 pm. A full-day schedule is available, according to individual needs. It operates out of the newly renovated building at 29 Breakdown Lane in Vineyard Haven.
