Music and Memory Café!

The MV Music and Memory Café welcomes anyone from the community who struggles with memory issues or has a disability. Join us for socialization, music, snacks, and information about resources in the community. There is no charge for the Café, you are welcome to attend when you can and come and go as you please.

The MV Music and Memory Café was founded in February 2015. It was piloted by a group of volunteer professionals with the help of a generous grant from Mary Wagner, a seasonal resident of Martha’s Vineyard.

The Café has been co-lead by Leslie Clapp and Nancy Langman, both of whom have extensive experience working with memory support programs. Gary Cogley is the lead musician who brings his talented group of friends to play a variety of well-known popular songs.

In April 2016, the MV Center for Living was one of thirteen cafés in Massachusetts to be awarded a grant by the Department of Developmental Services. The Café now meets at the newly renovated Center for Living.
